iQOO 3 Achieves Highest Ever Score on AnTuTu Benchmark

The iQOO 3 5G will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chipset. iQOO’s upcoming flagship phone to feature 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, an in-display fingerprint sensor, packed with 4,370mAh battery, fast UFS 3.1 storage and paired with up to 12GB of RAM.

Due to the coronavirus disruption, however, the company won’t be holding a physical launch event. Instead, the iQOO 3 5G will appear at an online only event. The phone is scheduled to be launched in Mumbai. The iQOO 3 is expected to arrive in India with a price tag of under INR 40,000.

Samsung reveals its new phone during the Oscars Ad

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip phone during an Ad in Oscars 2020. The ad also shows two color variants of the device purple and black.

The Galaxy ‘Unpacked’ 2020 event will take place in San Francisco, California, at 11am PST on February 11. Samsung to unveil its flagship phones The Galaxy S20-series models and rumoured Galaxy Buds+.

Realme To Launch Wireless Earbuds On December 17

Last month, Realme hinted at its wireless earbuds at the launch of the Realme X2 Pro. Now, Realme has revealed that the Realme AirPods will be launched in India on December 17 along with Realme XT 730G. Realme AirPods will be the company’s first truly wireless earphones and it will be launching in three colors black, white and yellow.

Realme AirPods could offer integration with Google Assistant and Siri once paired to a smartphone. The Apple AirPods cost above Rs 10,000 and Realme could possibly try to bring down the price below that range.

Xiaomi Mi A3 launched in India, First Sale On 23rd August

Xiaomi has launched its third Android One smartphone in the country, the Mi A3. The highlights of the phone include triple cameras at the back with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 32-megapixel selfie camera and a Super AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The new handset is priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and Rs. 15,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option. Xiaomi will be offering the handset in “Not Just Blue”, “More Than White”, and “Kind of Gray” colour options. The phone will be available on Amazon India, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores on August 23 starting at 12 noon.

Oppo Reno 2 With 20X Zoom Quad-Camera To Launch In India On August 28

Oppo has revealed the launch date for its Reno series. The Oppo Reno 2 will come to India on August 28, 2019. The company announced the launch date of the Reno 2-series on Twitter along with an outline of the Reno 2 where we see its vertical quad camera setup and shark-fin pop-up selfie camera. The Oppo Reno 2 will be the company’s first quad camera smartphone.

There is no confirmation from the company in terms of display, processing power, storage and memory options of the smartphone. A report hints the presence of Qualcomm Snapdragon 700-series SoC. It also expects it to come with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display and a 4,065mAh battery.

Honor 9X & Honor 9X Pro Launched

Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro were launched in China. The two new mid-range smartphones are notably the first from Honor to sport a pop-up selfie camera. This also allows both the devices to offer notchless displays. Another highlight of the Honor 9X and 9X Pro is that they are both powered by a Kirin 810 chipset, which is the company’s second 7nm-based processor after the flagship Kirin 980.

Key features of the two phones include a notch-less display, the HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC, GPU Turbo 3.0, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a large 4,000mAh battery. Both the phones sport a 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera as well.

Xiaomi Mi A3 Launched

Xiaomi has launched the Mi A3, the third-generation Android One smartphone and a successor to the Mi A2, at an event in Spain. The device has been priced at Euro 249, which is around Rs 19,000 for the 4GB+64GB storage model whereas the 4GB+128GB model is priced at Euro 279, which is around Rs 21,500.

The Mi A3 is better than its predecessor in almost all aspects be it design, camera, hardware, among other things. As far as the specs are concerned the Mi A3 comes packed with a 6.088-inch OLED display that offers screen resolution of 1520×720 pixels. The screen of the smartphone is protected with a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 on top that makes the phone sturdy and prone to falls.

Qualcomm has announced that it has received certification for the Secure Processing Unit (SPU), which was first introduced with the Snapdragon 845 and is now an integral part of the Snapdragon 855 processing platform.

The certification has been awarded under Common Criteria (CC) for Information Technology Security Evaluation, which rates a product’s security credentials under Evaluation Assurance Levels (EALs) from 1 through 7, and the Qualcomm SPU has been certified at 4+
