Google has finally started rolling out the dark mode update for its Play Store, after the release of Android 10. With the new update all apps on the Play Store are set to gradually get a dark mode. Google says that YouTube running in dark mode at 100% brightness can save up to 60% more battery compared to normal mode.
The two major holdouts were Gmail and the Google Play Store, but on September 11, a dark version of Gmail started to appear on phones running Android 10. Now, XDA Developers reports, a black-themed Play Store is also beginning to roll out on Google Pixel handsets. The new design only seems to be available for a few users so far, but we anticipate it rolling out globally very soon.
